    Default Exporting data from Access...

    Hello All,

I have a bit of strange problem: I'm wondering if there's a relatively simple way of exporting data out of Access into Excel without the inclusion of the Field Headers?

I currently have to manually delete this Row once it's in Excel and I'm looking to save a couple of mouse clicks.

Thanks to anyone who can help me...

    Matty

Hi Matty, all the export options within Access automatically include the header as far as I'm aware. The only way would be to use code to export then delete the first row in Excel. Not worth the effort in my opinion.

As Parry says, most export options from Access will include headers.
by the sound of things you are importing into an existing file, below existing data. If that's the case, and you want to put in some work to set it up, you can create code in the Excel file that will pull the data from Access. You won't get the headers this way.
Here's a link to a tutorial that will give you most of what you need.

Thanks for your insights, parry and Denis.

I will have a look at the tutorial; hopefully it will provide the functionality I need and I will learn something new as well.

    Thanks again.
