Hello,

"the '|1' macro action cannot run with the specified '|2' argument either when in disabled mode or when called from an embedded macro"

I am getting this baffling error when trying to run an Access query created by a colleague through an Excel spreadsheet. It seems to run fine on other computers in our department but keeps tripping on mine with the above runtime error. I have the same trusted location as others in my department. I can barely find anything on this and have no idea what is causing it.

Could anybody please help?

Thanks very much

Jon

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.

How exactly are you trying to run the query/code?

Which application is giving you the error, Excel or Access?

Does the query use any UDFs (user defined functions)?

Good questions Norie thanks, I'm afraid I'll have to have a chat with the guy who wrote it and get back to you, thanks for taking an interest.
