I enter this:
Not Sponsored: IIf([Privileged_Users]![Employee_ID]<>[Probaris]![ID],”Not_Sponsored”,[Probaris]![status])

And the Expression builder changes it to this:
Not Sponsored: IIf([Privileged_Users]![Employee_ID]<>[Probaris]![ID],[”Not_Sponsored”],[Probaris]![status])

Hope it's something simple. I'm not a vb programmer, just a clumsy query builder where an export to Excel is usually far less painful then trying to build an Access report . . .

TIA

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
It thinks you are entering a field name.
Access can be very particular about the quote marks you use.
It usually wants the one that are straight up and down, like this: "
instead of slanted ones you are showing, like this:

Thanks! Looks like notepad is my friend. I did a quick check of an ascii table and it wasn't any help, I don't see any different codes for straight and curved. And a double ' ' turns into the curved quotes. At least on the machine I use.

Appreciate the help.
