I am comparing Quarter vs Previous Quarter.

My pivot table looks like the following:

Year Curr Qtr Prev Qtr Diff
2010 50 45 5
2010 60 50 10
2010 Total 2000 1985 15
2012 25 22 3
2012 30 28 2
2012 Total 1000 995 5

I am filtering out rows where there is not a variance. The 2000 total in 2010 includes the hidden values and is what I want to display for subtotals The 15 of variance is reflected in the diff column. In this case year 2011 is missing because there are not any variances in 2011. However, I'd like the subtotal to display for 2011.

My measures for Curr Qtr, Prev, Qtr and DIff are IF([Curr Qtr]-[Prev Qtr]=0,BLANK(),[Curr_Qtr])

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
I am struggling to envisage the data that would return those results. Can you list the data and also those Curr Qtr and Prev Qtr measures (I assume a simple SUM and CALCULATE(... PREVIOUSQUARTER, but just to be sure).

I feel like I am missing a column. Is there a Quarter column or something? (eg: why does 2010 show up twice?)
