Hello,

I have my powerpivot table with the values on the rows instead of the column, but when I enable the option to show grand totals for columns it creates a grand total for each of my values. But I only want to show the grand total for one of the values...

Below is a screen shot of the table, i only want to show the grand total of the Total Over Cost values for each column...

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Two options I can think of:

1. Package your core measure in a wrapper that establishes whether the row is a total and if so returns blank (obviously you wouldn't do this for 'Total Over Cost') e.g.

Code:
=IF(HASONEVALUE(Table[Item]), BLANK(), SUM(Demand))

This only returns the sum where there is only one item.

2. You could use a 'set'. Basically on the pivot you have created, go in 'Fields, Items & Sets' in PivotTable options and 'create set based on row items'. You can then add/remove the relevant rows
