New Powerpivot Measure calculating two '% of column totals'

Hi all

I have a powerpivot table with 3 columns..

Column A has data labels
Column B has data expressed as a % of total column
Column C has data expressed as a % of total column (different data to Column B)

I'm trying to Index Column B % to Column C %

For instance the first entry in Column B is 75% and first entry in Column C is 70% - I'm trying to create a Measure that divides 75% by 70% giving the result 1.07 (positive index).

However the measure calculation appears to be performing the calculation on the data in its raw form rather than it expressed as a '% of total'

I hope this makes sense, if there a way round this?

Regards

How to calculate loan payments in Excel?
Use the PMT function: =PMT(5%/12,60,-25000) is for a $25,000 loan, 5% annual interest, 60 month loan.
Unless you have a lot of rows, it seems easier to create a calculated column for this?

Some terminology mixup. In 2010, there was a thing called a Measure. And in 2013 they started calling that thing a "Calculated Field".

I think what you want is a Calculated Column. Just go to the table in power pivot, click an empty column, and type your formula. =MyTable[ColumnB] / MyTable[ColumnC].

Then dance.
