Default Setting up Macro's/Pivot Table

is it possible for someone to suggest to me the simpliest way to set up a macro/pivot table.

Do you want to add a pivot table using a macro ? It's not too clear from your post...

If my access database was full of dat containing sales info - for various companies on monthly basis by product which again is split by class.

How could I set up a pivot table using a macro - from which I could retrieve specific information from.
