Default High School applications for excel

Looking for ideas on how to integrate Excel into high school curriculum. Want to go beyond charting and graphing. Have looked at Excelets...does anyone have any great ideas?

How about helping them design a check book with register. Then they would need to be able to track checks as they are written and balance the checkbook once the statement comes in. It would also be a good experience in real world finance as most high schoolers don't have a checking account and don't know how to manage one. You would kill two birds with one stone.

Maybe a tool to track their GPA?
