Is there any way to conditionally format an entire field in a pivot table?

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Not as such, no. Depending on the layout, you might be able to add CF to the sheet to do the highlighting you want.

When you say entire field, do you mean the leftmost column for instance?
Or fields with specific values?

Just this morning I wrote a macro that looks at individual cells in the PT and colours them according to their values compared to the grand total. It should not be real hard to write one that selects the rowfield for example, and color it.

There is no standard function within Excel that does it for you though.

Thank you for your replies, rorya and Skunk.

I have a field (column) that repeats several times because it's a sub-field. So I would be looking to have a CF on multiple columns.

I won't be able to use a CF across the whole sheets because the column is a percentage range and other fields (which I don't want colored) are percentages as well.
