I have a problem to solve, I must produce a formula that finds the International dialing codes in a worksheet, the codes are listed with a EG:0044 format, I need to produce just the 44, the only formula I can think of produces 0044 which is =LEFT(B2,4)

Thanks but I should have told you the full number perhaps it is 00441642-218121 the formula you recommended gives 21.
