How to Copy a Formula to Data-Filled Cells

How can one copy the formula to the cells where there are already entries there.

You will lose the data already there.

It sounds like you need the awesome cell math add-in from J Walkenbach at:
http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/files/cellmath.htm

The 'custom' section does what I think you're after - it's saved me hours
