Is it possble to prevent users from creating links to a file? A small amount of users have access to one sheet in a file. The file contains 4 sheets but I have managed using hiding and a little bit of code to prevent users from ever seing the other 3 sheets without a password (which they don't know so they can't see the sheets!). However, they'll still be able to create a link to the hidden sheets once they know the sheet name (not hard to guess what it would be either). Is there anyway to prevent the them from creating the link?
Thanks |

In W2K you can protect a workbook both to open or/and to modify the book (File/Save As/Tools/General OPtions/Save Options). Input a PWD both to open and to modify the book. Whoever is trying to link to your book, any of the sheets, is going to be prompted for the PWD when the respective formula executes. If no PWD is provided the result in the cell will display #REF!
