Hi .. I hope someone can help...I have a user with a problem. He needs to be able to extract various rows of data that meet a criterion (e.g - stock id's that contain a certain number as part of the id make-up)and copy or link that data into another separate XL file. The originl file that the data is found in will be updated monthly, so it cannot have an absolute reference to a specific cell, etc.... any help greatly appreciate!!
THANKS, Laura |

Have you looked at using MS Query?

Try using hlookup or vlookup after opening the file from which you want to extract.
