Don't know if this helps. But if you use the paste special command. Under opertaion it says 'Subtract'. You could use this to subtract your quantity value from the stock value.

The paste special command would work for this purpose but I am assuming you want something more automatic than that,a nd for every entry made, for it to automatically update the stock worksheet?
Yes a lookup/if statement would work for it to automatically subtract the sales qty from the stock qty. It's very difficult without data infront of me to properly understand though. |

HELEN UR A GENIOUS! plz heres some more data!!!:
The sales workbook looks like this: Column A = Sale Date, Column B = Product ID, Column C = Product Name, Column D = Price, Column E = Quantity, Column F = Cost. When the quantity is entered i would like to no how this quantity is subtracted automatically from the Stock workbook which looks like this: Column A = Product Name, Column B = Product ID, Column C = Price, Column D = Quantity, Column E = Total Value, Column F = Supplier, Column G = Re-Order Quantity. Thanks a lot but i REALYYYY need this for my project. |

Sami,
Do you have a sheet of samples for me to work with, I find it so hard to understand what people mean when they try and write their problem. I will send you my personal e-mail address in a private message, and if you want to I can help you that way? Helen |
