After completing a mail merge using Word with an .xls as the datasource, how do I close the datasource without saving from Word.

Assuming you have mail merged to a new document why not close your mail merge original document which will prompt for saves etc. closing Excel along with it (after prompts) thus leaving your new mail merged document open with Word running but not Excel.

After the mail merge completes, it does a printout and then closes Main document, leaving the excel data source as the active window. Using "ActiveWindow.Close SaveChanges:=False" from Word brings up a box asking "Do you want to save changes ?(to the datasource). It is this box we do not wish displaying. Excel is still open with other workbooks.
