I was wondering how I can change the axis of two vertical columns to become horizontal... basically changing the y axis into an x axis. I am using Excel 2001 on a Mac (OS 9).

Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
hello, and welcome to the board

you can use the paste special, transpose feature to accomplish this. for example, let's say you have data that resides in the range A1:A10. to take this vertical column and transpose it into a horizontal row, follow these steps:

highlight the range A1:A10
copy the range
select cell B1
select 'paste special' from the edit menu
check the transpose checkbox, and press OK.

your column has now become a row
