VBA colorindex

Does anyone know where I can find a list of valid codes for colors in Excel? Either the 2-digit number or the long text name would be fine.

Have a look under VBA help for ColorIndex.

I tried that. There's nothing under "colorindex" either in the Index or under Find.

Hmm, i just found it OK. Try typing in colorindex in the VBA code window, highlighting it and pressing F1. If you don't get anything you might not have the VBA help files installed.

Well, whaddya know, it worked. Now how come when I used the help index to search for "colorindex", it did NOT find that? I never thought of using F1 on the highlighted value.

Personally, I never use the index- either F1 or the Find tab of the help form.

good idea. I'll use F1 from now on. The Find didn't find it either for me.

You're right, it doesn't appear unless, under the Contents tab, you're referencing Microsoft Excel VB.
