I am trying to get excell to transfer the amount in 1 cell (referance) into 3 cells, with a FIXED VALUE RANGE as in:
CELL...I3--- =--REFERANCE CELL...K3--- =--0.1 TO 8.0 CELL...L3--- =--8.1 TO 12.0 CELL...M3--- =--12.0 TO THE BALANCE OF THE REFERANCE, OR; ....I3.....INTO...K3.....L3....M3 ...15.0....INTO...8.0...4.O...3.0 ....9.5....INTO...8.0...1.5...0.0 ....8.0....INTO...8.0...0.0...0.0 ....6.1....INTO...6.1...0.0...0.0 "0" CAN BE BLANK With the folumla i have, i receive the following; ...I3....into.....K3.....L3......M3 ...15.0...into....8.0...12.0......3.0 ...9.5...into....8.0....1.5.....FALSE ...8.0...INTO....8.0...BLANK....FALSE ...0.0...into....0.0...BLANK....FALSE This is simple mind math, that ive seen done. But I can't get this computer to do it HELPPPPP ! bob |

Hi
Not too sure I have understood you here, but... Let's say you have a value in cell A1 and you wnat that same value is B1,C1 and D1. There are 2 simple ways. 1 In cell B1 put =$A1 and copy accross to D1 2 Select cells B1:D1 type =A1 in the formula bar, then enter with Ctrl+Shift+Enter Either method can then be copied down. Personally I would opt for method 1 as method 2 creates an array as is less flexible. |

Hi. Aladin,
Thought you would like to know that this inexperienced computer wiz(LOL) is so very gratefull. You have saved the life of my computer,as there was a 5 lb hammer easying it's way out of the garage this way. Ive worked over the last month on this and you seem to have done it sooooo easyly.
