I need to be able to look to 100 rows of data(each row has 6 columns of data) and search one column for a max value and paste that value somewhere else but I also want to bring all other cells in the same row with that max value and paste the whole row just as it appears. Any ideas? Thanks.

{=INDEX(A1:F100,MATCH(MAX(A1:A100),A1:A100),0)} returns the row values where the max of column A is located. Note: This is an array formula which must be entered using the Control+Shift+Enter key combination. The outermost braces, { }, are not entered by you -- they're supplied by Excel in recognition of a properly entered array formula. [ This Message was edited by: Mark W. on 2002-03-18 10:15 ] |
