We had an employee leave the company with great planning on her part. She protected all her workbooks and sheets with a password that is not her normal one. Is there a way to unprotect the worksheet or workbook?

Try looking in the message board archives. Someone posted the code to do this recently.

There is a free password remover, I forget the name but there is a link on http://www.J-Walk.com/ss
It will remove workbook and worksheet protection relatively quickly. I had a 15 digit password with numbers letters and capital letters and it hacket it in 7+ mins. This will only wor if you can open the workbook itself, if the workbook is protected so it cant be opened then there are programs available, but those all cost $$ for what I have seen. HTH DRJ |
