Hi All
I wish to protect a worksheet and also record any change history in certain cells. One person has the password to unprotect that worksheet and make changes which I wish to record. If I use the 'share workbook' functionality in Excel it does not allow me to protect the workbook from other users making changes. Can anyone help. Rgds Lucky |

That still allows other users to make changes to the workbook and save. It only protects the history. Any other ideas?? |

You can put the file on your hard drive.

When you save the file (do "Save As"), click tools in the upper right of the dialog, select General Options and enter the appropriate passwords to open or modify the hile.
Hope this helps. _________________ Cheers, NateO [ This Message was edited by: NateO on 2002-03-21 11:04 ] |
