AutoFit rows with top aligned & merged cells

Excel97 & 2000
I am aware that "autofit rows" does not work, for some reason if the cells are top aligned. So it can be made to work by setting the alignment to centred or bottom.

Now add the the "merged" property to multiple cells on the single row. Autofit once again does not work, but I'd really like it to.

Has anyone found a way?

Hi--

Good one that - ive tryed and no fix but at least you have a good work arround for now, one of the meany quirks i guess.

Get patched up, if Excel or XP Office dont forget new grab bags on MS HomePage 70mb thou for Office XP gawd alone know what they all are but might sorts some bits out.
