Does anyone know if it's possible to import a word document and use this as the basis of a report in access? The word doc has tables which I would like to use in a access report.

Is this possible or would I be better off creating a report from scratch?

Thanks,
Chris

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
From Word documents I relied primarily on Cut and Paste. It is pretty effective, except for the occassional type issue, especially for blank cells at the top of the table you are importing. For this issue, I placed a dummy character or even a row that would over-ride the default type. After the import cut-and-paste I deleted the row. I used 1,2,3 etc for numeric fields and a, b, c etc for alpha. Do not forget to delete the dummy' and run totals to tie the data from Word to the Access import.
