Morning all,

what's the maximium amount of characters allowed in a formula ?

1024 ?

(couldn't find anything in search, so apologies as I know this has been adressed more than once before)

thanks
Chris

edit - s'okay, I used =len after converting the formula to text and played around.... it does indeed look like 1024. No replies needed unless I'm wrong.

[didn't delete my original question either ]

Hi Chris

Have a look under "Microsoft Excel specifications" in the help. Not sure if it's in there or not.

I was tinkering with an earlier question about converting numbers to textual numbers (324 = "three hundred and twenty four") trying to squash it all into a single formula

still am tinkering

Hi mate.. sorry been super busy catch up ASAP or cal me at work if needs be ICQQ??? Ill sort it sure

Look simple ten twenty four max .. sorry to post late, you fine characters max text and charracters formula are a right 'ole pain.. not always correct count spaces and new lines and all sort.

Just a tip to add and my point of posting this use rows to convert once new row convert twice new row new row.. keeps it all in contol and simple step by step, and edit easy .

When got reqd result .. copy paste special and delete all the redundant row or prob columns depends which way your going of cause.

just a tip chris..

catch up asap
