Here is my delema,
I am a college student and I am trying to compare an excel document from Nationals for my Fraternity with one from my school. The document is a name of Alumni and I am trying to update their addresses through the school. Is there anyway for me to automate the search - taking a name from the Nationals document and getting the info from the one from the school? I need the name from the nationals list and all of the info from the school.... Hope this makes sense Hope you can help Thanks Tommy |

Sounds like "Vlookup" may provide the solution? Can you be more specific with data layout on spreadsheets?

Thanks for the response
I'm not sure exactly of the format because I am still waiting to atain them. I know that the format from our Nationals is going to have columns that are labled Name, Address, city, state, zip and phone number. I want to take the name out of the first column and search for it from my copy from school. Once I find their name I want all of the information from that row. I hope this helps and thanks for your help |
