This should be easy. I am fairly new to the ability of excel, been using it for way too long not to know its power. Anyways, this forum has been a great help, kudos.
My problem is, I have a sheet in which i poulated with information form another workbook in this form. =[logs.xls]salesloghidden!R2C3 I do this for about 20 cells in different areas of the sheet. Half of the time the cell displays the correct information, the other half it displays THE FORMULA. I think I have tried everything, even if I put =a3 in one of these cells it displays =a3. What gives. What is the little detail I am missing. Thanks in advance. |

The cells that are showing the formula are formatted as text. You may need to select those rows/columns/cell, hit Edit-clear-formatting or All. Then re-enter the formula if necessary.

It is all working now. It was the format issue, I formatted all problematic cells to general and now it is ok.
Thanks for your help. |
