I have been busting my *** on creating a graph from data in a pivot table without the graph becoming a pivot graph. What I do want is the graph to change according to the selection I make in the pivottable. Can you help?

On the PivotTable toolbar click on the PivotChart dropdown list and select the "Hide PivotChart Field Buttons" option.

Mark,
Thanks for your reply. I just tried it but its not really working. To give you an idea of what I am trying to do...I have several columns with YTD revenue, sales, budget revenue, budget sales, etc. I also make a distiction between region, month, Q, H1/H2 account. Now what I am trying to do is that when I change the pivottable to show a certain account in a certain month/Q/H that the table changes as well. So far that has not been working. What happened was that I get to see bookings and revenue in one graph and I want to split them over 2 graphs but keeping the single pivottable. Any suggestions? |

Either produce separate PivotTables with only the data needed for each chart. Or, use the GETPIVOTDATA worksheet function to extract only the data needed for each chart.
