How do you switch the order of columns?Example: you have columns:
March 1 March 2 March 3 March 4 You now want to switch the order to: March 4 March 3 March 2 March 1 Do you have to manually cut and paste or is there a quicker way? |

Hi MaryLass,
If this is what you actually want to do (not just a hypothetical example) it can easily be accomplished via a sort. You simply need to sort right-to-left rather than vertically. To do this, first select all the data (rows) you want sorted, then use the Data -> Sort rather than the toolbar sort button. Select Options to select right-to-left. Use a descending sort on the first row and voila!

Damon,
you have *got* to be kidding me.... Like an idiot, I assumed that the sort worked vertically only, as with filter. Now I know better ! Having split one of my molars in half lastnight and spending all morning at the dentist's ON the last day of our financial year, this little gem has just made my day. Even better than the fact his background music was the Queen of the Night aria from Mozart's "Die Zauberflaute". |
