I am pretty good with VBA in Excel, but I have some friends that want to learn it. I have been teaching them but thought it would be good to have some suggested books, if there are any.
So, can anyone recommend any books to learn VBA in Excel? TIA |

Larry,
There are a number of books available. Best bet is to use Amazon, I have purchased a number of them. Try the reviews first to see if its what you want. I like VBA for Microsoft Office 2000, Its big meaty and has a cd. All for £30 squid. You could also try Office 97 annoyances. Amazon do a lot of used books as well. Superb value kk |

Amazon was my first stop, I use them for everything.
But my search for "learn excel vba" came up with a book that was panned in the recommendations. So I thought I would query this group too. I'll look at the book you recommend too. Thanks |

I recommend Wrox press books. Especially if Stephen Bullen has owt to do with them.
I see Bill has recommended the Excel 2002 VBA. (except I used the XL 2000 version) http://www.mrexcel.com/book.shtml Additionally, slap in a search for Bill Jelen in amazon.com. (This site's founder) |

Great recommendations guys!
Since it turns out that I will now be teaching an actual class, these will really be helpful. Thanks! |

Reed Jacobson also has a good book called
"EXCEL 2002 VISUAL BASIC FOR APPLICATIONS STEP BY STEP" ISBN 0-7356-1359-1 You can get a similar version of the book for earlier versions of Excel. I find it very helpful. Dave [ This Message was edited by: daveray on 2002-03-28 05:50 ] |
