I have a very simple macro which includes as part of the code entering page setup (print preview) and deleting the footer (the other spreadsheets have an automatic footer when the file is opened).
Everything works fine except the macro stops on the print preview screen. When I recorded the macro, the keystrokes included closing the print preview and selecting cell A1??? |

You don't need to enter Print Preview to do that. You can get the same result using Page Setup from the File menu.
