Critical Failure in Compling a Macro

I have been creating some Macros in Excel and when I select compile from the debug menu I get the windows message "This program has preformed an illegal operation and will be shut down."

Does anybody know what could cause this. I have tried deleting bits of the macros to try and identify what is causing the error but to no success. Any suggestions would be greatley recieved.

Hi,

I think everyone who has used Excel for a while has come across this message (and wanted to throw their PC across the room when they've lost an hour of unsaved work

)). I've never come across it when using Debug, Compile. I think the best thing to do is post all of your macros so someone else can try it on a different machine. That should help start eliminating potential problems.

i have never had it on excel, but have had it with internet explorer a LOT!!
