Hi everyone--
Just a quick question. Does anyone know if there's anyway to use conditional formatting to change the colors in a table? I'm trying to create a stacked barchart, and want to know if I can somehow format each bar to a separate color if a certain criteria is met. I can use conditional formatting in the spreadsheet with the data, but all of it is lost when I chart that particular data. Any ideas? I would think it's GOT to be possible, but I just can't figure out how. Thanks for your help! Mike |

Hi Mike,
Yes, the formats of charts (actually chart series or points) is not determined by the formats of the cells being charted. However, it is possible with a bit of VBA code to accomplish "Conditional Formatting" of bar charts, etc. If you would like an example of this respond with your email address and I will send you a spreadsheet with a simple demo. I think you should be able to adapt its methodology to your needs.
