Importing LARGE text files

I want to import _parts_ of a huge .csv
file. The files is about 200,000 rows of data.

When I use the text file importer, and I enter a "start row" of 100,000 lets say, it doesnt allow the value and says "not a valid integer".

I guess this would be easy if I had a utility to split the 1 huge file up into segments of 65,000. But what utility would I use?

Hi

Sadly you cant CSV 200000 to ^%536 dont go Excel wont like it, if over ODBC and so skip CVS save as then span sheets else... copy and paste in to more than one sheet..

BTW IBM Lotus 123 have 1,000,000 ROWS.. but not convertable to Excel.. too many rows...

Integers only go up to about 37,000 or so.
I guess that is what the problem is???
Can import easily with code, but a lot slower perhaps.
Post a few of your lines from the file and tell how you want it formatted and arranged on yout sheets....
Or E-Mail...

If you really would like to do it I will email you a small sample of the data. I would post it here, but its 11 columns wide and hard to fit into this message board format.
