I lose my custom toolbar settings from time to time. The problem seems to occur at random. I start up only to find that the default toolbars are back. Help.

You might want to try setting up your toolbars, then copying the *.XLB file with your name on it to a safe location. Next time you lose the toolbars, check to see what's happened that has reset your *.XLB and/or copy the XLB back to where you found it the first time.

Dreamboat,
I was re-imaged (yet again) twice last month and when I tried this, it didn't work.... when I looked at all .xlb files there were quite a few : excel8.xlb, cd-01.xlb (we're on a network) on my home computer here, there's just default.xlb (despite me having customised by toolbars) any further advice ? in the last 12 months I have been re-imaged more times that Michael Jackson's nose and it's driving me nuttier than a chipmonk's turd found inside the almond slicing machine at "Nuts-r-us". |
