My Vba Macros are Haunted!

What has been a nagging annoyance is turning into an outright aggravation.

When I close certain files with Vba, they automatically reopen! I never wrote an autopen routine. And, also, with some of these files, I get a message "Filename.xls!ck_files cannot be found." Is this my system's idea of a sick joke? Help me Please!
