Hi,
Is there any method of showing that a cell can contain only valid data (from a list) even when the cell is not the active cell. eg. Data populating cell B26 must be chosen from the list of valid data supported by the cell. When cell B26 is active, the arrow indicating that it is a drop-down box appears. However when cell B27 is active, the arrow disappears. Is there any way of ensuring that the arrow indicating a drop-down box will appear permanently on the worksheet?? Kind regards, Glenn Richards Australia +61 3 8877 8886 |

Hi Glenn
Not with Data Validation. You will need to use a ComboBox from the "Forms" toolbar. If you are not sure how to use these I have some examples here: http://www.ozgrid.com/download/default.htm Under: ChangingCombo.zip ChangingCombo2.zip |
