Excel '07 Autofill bug?

I've been noticing a problem with the autofill feature in Excel 07 and was wondering if anyone else has encountered it. If I type in 1.01 in cell A1 and 1.02 in cell A2 and then autofill to 6.50, the numbers start to go crazy with 6.35. After autofilling, if I go back to the cell that has 6.35 in it (cell A535), the number in the formula bar actually reads 6.35000000000001. And every number after it shows a similar format.
If I start with 2.01 in A1 and 2.02 in A2 and autofill, the same thing happens, but this time the problem starts with the value 2.25 (it turns into 2.25000000000001).
These idiosyncrasies show up earlier as I start with higher numbers... 3.01 autofills fine until 3.25, 4.01 starts having probelms at 4.24, and so on.
What is going on???
Thanks!
Margaret

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
I don't think the problem has anything to do with Excel 2007 or Autofill. It is a known issue that involves how Excel stores numbers (Floating Point arithmetic errors).

See the following link for details and workarounds (note the "Precision as Displayed" workaround):
