Hi,
Say, Cell A3, has Code with a drop down list box. I'm picking the 1st item "cd01". The Code Name is displayed in B3. C3 has division, which is again a drop down list box. I'm picking "APD". Next entry by mistake if I happen to select cd01 and APD again, I must display an error message. Hope you must have understood my problem. I'm getting problem with your edit option. It's not allowing me to edit, so I'm re-entering this question again. Regards. Rams |

I think, not sure, that you could use Data Validation for this, with a formula, something like
=COUNTIF(A$1:A1,A1)=1 For the "Edit" part... I believe it only allows you to edit it for the next 30 minutes after you have posted. |

Hi,
I don't need the count of it. I want to avoid the redundancy of records being entered. It's just a way of entering unique records. How will I display the error message for this ? Regards. Rams. |
