formula question

i need a formula that says:

if the value in column C is a percentage, then take c*d, if not, then take h-c

any help is appreciated. i don't know code, so if you could just let me know of the formula, that would be great!!

Is this sufficient?

=if(C2<=1,C2*D2,H2-D2)
