Date Formula

Hi There,
I was wondering how to calc this date formula.
3/30/02 9:30 AM + 8.5(Hours)
So I want it to display the answer like
3/30/02 6:00 PM
Any suggestions on how to setup this formula.
Please help!

In C1 enter:

=A1+B1/24

where A1 houses a value like 3/30/02 9:30 AM and B1 a value like 8.5, which is a decimal time.

Thanks for responding but that formula did not work for me.
I think i understand the formula but "B1 a value like 8.5, which is a decimal time" in my B1 cell has to display the same as A1. What do you mean by decimal time.

When 8:30 is rendered as 8.5, it's called decimal time.

The formula I suggested should work if A1 is date-formatted. The cell of the formula (C1) must be formatted like A1.
