I am trying to link two sheets together by putting = in one cell then clicking on the one I want to link to. Thing is, I am typing = then going to the other sheet and it wont let me click on a cell. In fact, when I move the cursor over the cells in the book I want to link to, the cursor changes to that little finger pointer. Yet when I am not trying to link to the cell the cursor is the normal arrow one. Can anoyone tell me why this is? |

if thats what we are talking about throw in the = sign in the cell you want to link click on the worksheet you want the info from dont worry about the cursor type just click on the cell you want, it should be in dotted lines press enter and it should be done if we arnt talking about 3-d cell refernce can you be more specific |

Yeah I know how to do that, it just won't click on the cell, you can't select the one I want to link to. There is no protection on or anything like that either

I had exactly this problem and spent hours trying to resolve it. By accident I found that simply scrolling down made the "hand" disappear and I was able to reference cells on the second sheet.
No idea why this happened though. |
