Hi.
I am having a problem with a file that I have password protected and sent to a french colleague. The file was created on Excel 97 and is being openned in excel 97. I have found the error on the microsoft webpage for Word 97, for which I have attached the website below. I am assuming that this will be same for Excel 97. Does anyone know another workaround to solve this problem, as I don't want to send out this spreadsheet with out the password protection. http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-GB;q162559 Many thanks Matthew |

Set your regional settings to French Standard, password the workbook, reset regional settings.
