Is there a way to copy/get the "comments" of a cell using an excel formula?
i.e. if A1 contains a comment, copy that comment to B1?

I am not looking for the VBA way to pull the comments.

Thank you!

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.

Hi DonkyOte, thanks for the welcome.

I am merely trying to increase visibility by posting on 2 forums. Especially so because my question was misunderstood and then closed without a single reply from myself (Previous post on the other forum). In addition, some forums don't like links to other forums.

Anyhow, here is the link to my question on the other forum if it helps. This thread links the previous thread as well:

Can you not just copy cell A1 and

Paste Special > Comments ?

Ahhh just realised you probably want the actual wording to appear in cell B1 - in which case the above obviously won't work !

Out of interest, if someone posts on more than one forum why do you want the links etc posted ?

Cheers
