i would like to sort a table of x- and y-coordinates so that it's sum-of-squares matches another like-table's sum-of-squares.

do you already have columns which work out the sum of the squares or do you want this as part of the resulting formula ?

so if you other like table looks something like :
225 (rank = 4th) 330 (rank = 2nd) 290 (rank = 3rd) 355 (rank = 1st) 199 (rank = 5th) You want the first table where the value is 225 to be sorted so it's 4th, and the value of 355 to be sorted so it's 1st - totally based on the rank of position in the other table ? sorry for the questions, just making sure I try to give you a right way of doing it |
