I have one huge database where someone has to input invoice info - we have about 40 core suppliers who invoice us numerous times a month.
The person who inputs the data makes spelling mistakes which makes it hard to report on the data i.e. Carat becomes Carrot, Carratt etc. Is there any way of the spreadsheet telling when for instance Car is put in that it recognises the letters and inputs Carat International? Please help as I might as well input the data myself rather than trawl through the spelling mistakes! Thankyou!! Ashie UK |

Hey,
Have you considered using Data Validation? That would require a list (to be updated) of your 40 or so core entries - but would effectively prevent errors on data entry. Hope that helps. Adam |

I experienced the same thing and Data Validation worked great, the only thing is you have to create a list of suppliers, and if you get a new one, you have to update your list. But it works great

I didn't suggest data validation for the reason that it has to be set up in many rows. AutoCorrect seems to me cheaper and much nicer for an experienced data-entry person. |
