Format Painter

Is there a short cut key stroke to use the format painter?

Not that i know F/P is not really designed to that kinda opperation in my mind, good is say copt and paste/Format Painter, but you need to seect FP to forat as FP the selected cel/cells

like to know otherwise

I'm not sure about the shortcut key, but I know a really useful trick. If you double click the format painter icon on the toolbar, it toggles the painter "on." Meaning, you can continually do it over and over again (with the same format). To toggle it back off, (single) click the icon again.

i hate copy and paste from the internet when a search is done as all my work is live as i think, but beg forgiveness, you all know me engliah is poor and i feel i have explained bad the prev post but its the means meaning to this... hope none minde..

Format Painter: This button applies formatting changes from one area of the document to another area in one single operation. Click your pointer into one of the cells of the document that has the changes you want to apply elsewhere. Click the Format Painter Button (paintbrush icon) from the Standard Toolbar. Then highlight the cells that need to be changed. Your mouse pointer will carry an image of the insertion point and a paintbrush to alert you that you are "painting" the changes to the new location.

Thanks for the responses. I am very familair with Format Painter which is why I would like to know the Key Stroke to activate if it exist.

You can however assign a macro to a function key so it runs this macro

Application.CommandBars.FindControl(ID:=108).Execute
