You might be meaning VLookup or HLookup. There are some darned fine examples of these functions on this board, try the "search" facility to find them.

Never hear of Xlookup and excel in the same sentence, sure you don't want vlookup or hlookup? Maybe xlookup is just a variable name used in a macro.
I also seem to recall a DataLink Function called Xlookup

I might as well enter the fray...
What if "X" is someone's shorthand for "V" or "H"? ...Meaning use a VLOOKUP or HLOOKUP... whichever is appropriate. [ This Message was edited by: Mark W. on 2002-04-17 13:10 ] |

XLOOKUP is also a function used in Q&A ... I would surmise the name is intended to imly an external Lookup function!

Would I be able to revive this topic please? Saw this function today written "+xlookup" (in an Excel 2003 file - unfortunately one I couldn't get my hands on) and can't find anything more than 9 years on from this original thread.
Any help greatly appreciated! |
