I haven't been able to find this answer anywhere on the net (so far anyway) or even in the MS knowledge base. The questions is:
I select discontiguous cells in a row or column, copy, then paste. Works fine if I'm pasting back into Excel. But if I paste it into Word, all the cells in between are also pasted; not just the selected cells. This happens in Office 97, 2k and XP. So is this a limitation of Excel? Or is there a setting or add-in that can change this behavoir? TIA. |

To the best of my knowledge: Yes, this is a limitation of Excel/Office. Because the other programs do not have the same format, they do not recognize the *in between* blank areas.
