Hi,
Is it possible to open a particular file when opening excel rather than getting a new workbook? Cheers Matt |

How do you open Excel just now? Icon on the desktop? Start Menu?
I would suggest replacing your Excel shortcut with a shortcut to your workbook if you use either of the above methods. |

the client wants the workbook to be the first thing that opens when they click on the excel icon - I thought this may involve some changes in the registery ? Is it possible or should I tell them not worth it?

You can probably do it in the registry, but it's not worth it, that's the whole point of shortcuts. Now tell them to stop being so bloody stupid.
Remember, they're just the client. They can ask for whatever they want, you're the one that has to tell them when they're being stupid. |
