Is it possible to have excel to convert fractions to percentages, I need to get the percentage of items that have been done in a certain time eg, if I get 4 done which will take 10hrs and the shift is 10hrs then that is 100% but if I only get 3 & 7/8 or any other combination how can I put this into excel and have it tell me what percentage of work has been done within the allotted time. I can work it out on paper by turning the amount into an improper fraction but I wanted to use excel if I could, do you think this can be done.

Thanks
No problem. Just enter 3 7/8 in a cell (e.g., A1), 4 in another (e.g., B1) and use =A1/B1. [/quote] |
